It's my birthday

Today is my birthday and I've never been a fan of celebrating it because why would I celebrate getting old? I have reached a point of my life where I don't want to say my age out loud.

Becoming old means more responsibilities and commitments and terrified of all of that. To some I might look young but in reality I'm not that young I'm 24. I remember when I was little I always wanted to grow up and be old ( young Melanie didn't know what she was wishing for) but now I wish I was younger again because being an adult sucks.
