When One Direction announced the hiatus, everyone wondered to what label the 4 members would sign to. When singer Niall Horan decided to sign to a music label different to one direction, Simon Cowell who is the CEO of music label Syco (one direction was sign to this label) immediately shaded Niall and banned him from performing in his famous music competition the X Factor. Before it was public that Niall got signed to Capitol Records, Simon Cowell was so sure that Niall was going to sign to his label but at the end his persuasive talk didn’t work.
